formed in 1984 and is now the Premier Club in the
Country. The Club`s name, chosen by the players, is Italian and means colloquially come on the youngsters.
We have four senior teams, City of Glasgow Ragazzi in Mens Divisions 1 and Su Ragazzi II in Division 2, with Su Ragazzi Ladies in the Womens Division 1. There is also a Glasgow District League side, Su III, and several associated junior groups. The Club`s record of achievement is second to none. The men`s first team hold the British Club record for the longest unbeaten domestic run of matches - 100 victories in all, and won the Scottish League and Cup double six times in the 1990's. Su Ragazzi Ladies were the first team to win the third, second and first Divisions in successive seasons. This year the team won the League Championship. The Club boasts many full Internationalists at both Senior and Junior level, and has many players involved in the Great Britain Olympic Training Programme. Several of the Clubs players have also moved on to full-time professional contracts in europe. |
