Su Ragazzi has always felt that being part of the Glasgow
and West Community is an important part of who we are. We have also always
thought that a good Club offers opportunities for people to get involved across
a range of areas, interests, and talents. Everyone sees the playing part, and the coaching side is also pretty obvious, but good clubs require more than just the obvious. Someone has to keep the club as a whole moving in the right direction. That takes vision, and communications skills, and people who are willing to serve on the Club Executive Committee. Matches have to be organised, venues have to be booked, programmes for matches have to be composed, opposition have to be contacted, and all of that takes administration skills and the enthusiasm and patience to be a team secretary. The match days are full of players and good plays, but couldn’t happen if there weren’t referees who make sure the game complies with the rules, and offers parity of opportunity. And playing games in an empty hall is not nearly as attractive as one full of spectators – but spectators have to be catered for, and match reports have to be written, and hopefully supported by photographs of the action….all of this takes people who are willing to be court managers, and match officials, and press reporters……. Su Ragazzi is intent upon expanding our activities next year, and for that we need more people. People who might not want to play or coach, but who want to get involved, want to be part of the programme, want to add their skills, talents and interests to the Club’s pool of expertise. |

People who have some time that they want to volunteer, and energy they want to share People who are interested in helping in all sorts of ways.
